The
first evaluation uses a test control unit with more displays and
more configuration switches compared to the final unit. The
main display is a bar LED display which can be configured
for various signals (e.g. flap position, motor current).
Besides several LEDs there are also switches: the switch
"Ramp" modifies the starting behaviour of the
motor, while the switch "Brake" configures the
power-off motor brake.
The additional means for
adjustment and feedback simplify the set-up and design
review considerably without exceeding the limits of the
flap drive system or the aircraft structure.
