The shown electronic board comprises all components, necessary to drive an electronically commutated brushless servo motor on a single board of 65x105 mm (approx. 2.5x4 in). The digital signal processor (DSP) cares for the sensor signal processing and the control (in assembly and C). The power stage MOSFETs are capable of more than 10 Amps at 28 Volts. By the change of the power stage transistors it is simple to adapt the board to various specifications. Our power stages range from 1 W (5 V, 200 mA) to 1 kW (100 V, 10 A).
In combining the electronic and mechanical components in a single housing we can get extremely compact actuation systems with very reduced external wiring of just three connectors: #1 motor (front, right), #2 power supply (right) and #3 bus interface (front, left). The ribbon cable is for measurements in the laboratory.
