power board has (besides the power stage) several current
sensors and protective measures for the operation
according to RTCA DO-160. The hardware measures are:
reverse polarity, replaceable fuse and EMV measures (against
electromagnetic signals) on the power board and ESD
measures (against electrostatic discharge) on the micro-controller
board. The software disconnects the unit in case of a
short. The micro-controller also has a software model to
monitor the motor temperature (without temperature sensor).
The size of the micro-controller
board is 45 mm x 69 mm (1.8" x 2.7"). The power
board (for 28 VDC, 15 A) has 85 mm x 94 mm (3.3" x 3.7").
The overall height is 40 mm (1.6").
