| Four actuation systems deflect the
triangle-shaped fins on the cylindrical structure. Each
actuation system consists of an actuator (orange) and an
electronic box (green). Behind the actuators there is the
power supply by battery packs.
The task was to develop a reasonable concept based on broad aerodynamic assumptions. We started with our experience for each component and ended with realistic mass and power consumption balance. These results formed the design specification. |
